摘要

Lamproite in Ningxiang, Hunan Province is one of the main clues for prospecting original diamond deposits in Hunan Province. In this paper, according to the lithogeochemical analysis of the No.5 pipe-like lamprophyre in Ningxiang and the compare with lamproites in other districts, it is believed that the characteristics of the No.5 pipe-like lamprophyre are similar to those of the other lamproites in Ningxiang which have been researched and identified as a kind of lamproite by predecessors. Compared with typical diamondiferous lamproites in Western Australia, the contents of SiO₂, Al₂O₃ and MnO are higher and MgO, TiO₂ and K₂O are lower in the No.5 pipe-like lamprophyre in Ningxiang, which may be related with the magma source and evolutionary process, showing that the mantle source of lamproite in Ningxiang is more enriched than that in Western Australia.
