The latest Ordovician (Hirnantian) rugose corals from the Guanyinqiao Beds in Ganluo district of southern Sichuan Province are reported for the first time including genera Borelasma, Crassilasma and Streptelasma. This rugosan fauna may correlate with that from the Guanyinqiao Beds in northern Guizhou. The new materials further indicate the close biogeographic affinities of the Late Ordovician rugosan fauna in the Yangtze region to those of Northern Europe and Scandinavia. Three genera Brachyelasma, Crassilasma and Entelophyllum are first reported from the Sifengya Formation (Early Telychian) at Tianba area, Ganluo in southern Sichuan Province, these generic taxa probably correlate with those rugosan fauna of the Shiniulan Formation (Middle Llandovery) in Qijiang area, Chongqing, or with the fauna of the Sifengya Formation (Early Telychian) in Daguan area, northeastern Yunnan Province.
