摘要
A set of Middle Devonian quartzose sandstone was found in Aershan, Inner Mongolia. The quartzose sandstone has been proven to be lagoon sandstone by grain composition and sedimentary structure. Comparison of detrital modern of quartzone sandstone from Aershan area with those of modern sea-floor sands from different tectonic settings, obtain a conclusion that the provenance of quartzes sandstone is craton interior landmass. It also can be proven by QFL and QmFLt discriminative diagrams.
