4pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 宋体; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: ZH-CN; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA" lang=EN-US>The middle Eastern Kunlun is a popular area with a great attraction in basic geologic researches of the Kunlun orogenic belt. Particularly, in the study of stratified ordered epimetamorphic sandstones and slates from the orogenic belt, the stratigraphic division according to structures of natural genetic units of a rock series must be used, whereas the stratigraphic division according to the traditional simple method of sand/mud ratios should be dismissed. By the research on the Wanbaogou Group tectonic mélanges of the middle Eastern Kunlun , a new understanding of oceanic island stratigraphic sequence has been obtained, and existence of the Middle Triassic turbidite fan graywackes has been recognized.
