Copper Geochemical Block Characteristics and Ore Potential of the Zijinshan Ore Concentration Area

Geochemical block delineation and inner structure analysis were carried out in the Zijinshan ore concentration area by means of geochemical block theory.  The work was based on 1:200 000 regional geochemical exploration data, for which 2 km×2 km window data were used.  The authors analyzed characteristics of such parameters as area, available metal quantity and concentration degree corresponding to various content levels of the copper geochemical blocks. It is pointed out that there exists great potential in search for copper resources in these geochemical blocks.
