Through the studies of all the fractures in the eastern swing of Beidagang structural belt in Dagang oilfield, the changes of the vertical and horizontal fault throws of 20 large-scale faults in the researched area are summarized and analyzed. The main fault activities period were thought to be happened in Paleocene and neotectonic(0.78 Ma)period in the belt. The tightness of all the faults in the region and its influences on petroleum migration and accumulation are analyzed and researched. According to the characteristics of both the fault activities and the stress field of the structures and moreover the tightness of the fractures in different structural posi- tions and stages, the evaluations of the petroleum exploration plays are conducted from the viewpoints of the structures.
