摘要
Based on the data of sunspot activities and the earth rotation,this paper analyzed their influence on the mediun-strong earthquake in Jiangsu Province and its adjacent area. The results show that the decline of sunspot activity and the acceleration of earth rotation are beneficial of mid-strong earthquakes occurred in the area. During the period of the decline of sunspot activity and the acceleration of earth rotation, the earthquake frequency increases. Aditionally, the mid-strong earthquake will occur greater probability in Jiangsu Province and its adjacent area after Feb., 2012 by the statistical method of amplitude and phase and the sunspots forecast.
