Eu3+-doped (Ba, Sr)(Na, Sr)2Na(PO4)2 powder samples were prepared by a solid-state method, using Na2CO3, BaCO3, SrCO3, NH4H2PO4 and Eu2O3 as raw materials. Their characteristics were investigated by using XRD, SEM, FTIR and FT-Raman spectra. The effect of different mole ratios of Sr/Ba on the crystal structure was also discussed. The excitation and emission spectra of Eu3+-doped (Ba, Sr)(Na, Sr)2Na(PO4)2 were discussed. The results showed that (Ba, Sr)(Na, Sr)2Na(PO4)2 belonged to the hexagon system, all the vibrations were from PO43- anion unit, the Eu3+ ion in crystal was located in the non-reversion center in the lattice, the crystallographic site of cation in the crystal was highly disturbed and disordered.
