Normal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt">To check the result of land reclamation with coal gangue, this paper chose 16 parameters for appraising re- claimed land fertility quality, established a quality appraisal system taking trace elements into consideration, applied cor- relation coefficient method to determination of weight of each factor in soil fertility quality appraisal, calculated mem- bership value of each factor using fuzzy mathematics principle and performed fuzzy integrated appraisal. The results in- dicated that the reclaimed land and normal farmland both show decreasing soil fertility index values with depth. Re- claimed land soil quality will be improved gradually in 3 years, and both farming system and fertilizer application have great effect on topsoil quality improvement. Reclaimed land soil fertility is a bit lower than normal farmland. After 3 years of reclamation, the fertility of each layer of reclaimed soil equals to 91.9%,89.6% and 84.6% of the counterpart of normal farmland, suggesting that reclaimed soil quality reaches up to 90% of that for normal farmland.
