摘要
Based on the application of vacuum-surcharge preloading in Suzhou,the reinforcing effect of vacuum-surcharge preloading on soft clay foundation are analyzed comparatively by comprehensive use of the methods such as monitoring of surface settlement,delamination settlement and pore water pressure,and laboratory soil tests.Variation in physical and mechanical properties of soft clay is discussed.Mechanism and effectiveness of soft foundation reinforcd by vacuum-surcharge preloading method are also analyzed.The results show that water content and liquidity index decrease while dry density and constrained modulus increase.C and φ values that got from direct shear tests and triaxial compression tests increase.Especially,internal friction angle φ increases significantly.In a word,the engineering properties of the soft clay are improved obviously,indicating that vacuum-surcharge preloading method has a significant effect.
