The authors have made a comparative study on petro-geochemical characteristics of the granitoid rocks in the northern margin of eastern Junggar area. The result shows that two types of granitoids exist in the area, i.e., orogenic calc-alkali granite and alkali-rich granitoid. These two types of granites occur in the subduction environment evolved from a continental collision orogenic belt and intracontinental post-collision environment, respectively.
