///Based on field geological traverses and 500 m line-spacing ground magnetic survey as well as the magnetic parameters measurement of different rocks, the aeromagnetic anomalies in Jiangdong survey area were further interpreted, and it is concluded that the magnetic anomalies in the area are not resulted from so-called ’banded iron formation’ inferred by some experts, the anomalies are very likely sourced by the high-grade regional metamorphic rocks of the Gaoligongshan Group. The exploration criteria and potential metal mineralization styles of the region are also summarized in the paper.
