摘要
///There are three Late Mesozoic volcanic rock series in the southern Jiangxi Province and North Guangdong Province: the lower, middle and upper volcanic rock series. The middle volcanic rock series is called the Wuyi Group, which can be subdivided into the Shuangfengling and Ehuling Formation. The Shuangfengling Formation is mainly sedimentary rock and interstratified proclastic rock representing the product of the initial volcanic activity and the Ehuling Formation consists of ignimbrite, rhyolite, and rhyotaxitic tuff, which represent the product of volcanic eruption. SHRIM U-Pb zircon ages are (142±1) Ma for the ignimbrite of the Ehuling Formation in the Sanbaishan Basin, (131.4± 1.3) Ma for the ignimbrite of the Ehuling Formation in the Caifang Basin, (142.5±1.3) Ma for the ignimbritein the Weiling area, and (130.8±0.7) Ma for the rhyolite in the Menshanzhai area. Consequently, the geological age of the Wuyi Group is the early Early Cretaceous.
