Muruntau gold deposit lies at the collision belt,which is located in the west part of southern Tianshan Mountains metallogenic belts belonging to central Asia metallogenic domain,between Karakum Plate and the central Kazakhstan-North Tien Shan Plate.The surrounding rock of Muruntau gold deposit belongs to Cambrian to Ordocician Besopan Suite,and the gold ore formation age is Permain when southern Tianshan ocean consumed.The method used in the study was structural evolution,structural and magmatic control of Muruntau gold deposit,and it has been showed that controlling factors were NWW Sangruntau-Tamdytau shear zone and NE Muruntau-Daugyztau shear zone and gold mineralization had close relationship with magmatism.The exploration of Muruntau type gold deposit is the intersection of NWW Sangruntau-Tamdytau shear zone and NE Muruntau-Daugyztau shear zone,and in the vicinity of blind or crop out granitic intrusion is metallogenic epoch.
