On the basis of studies on geologic characteristics, ore-controlling factors of Dongwushan silver polymetallic deposit, the authors think that the fault structure and concealed explosive breccia pipe are the most important ore-controlling factors. The distribution form of the deposit is controlled by Shijiayuan-Dongwushan fracture zone (combination of F1 and F2), and spatial configuration of ore-bodies by concealed explosive breccia pipe. Moreover, igneous rock has supplied with ore-forming materials and thermal power for mineralization. So the concealed explosive breccia pipe has become the primacy sign for prospecting. Pyrite and sericitization hydromicazation alteration at exocontact zone are the direct mineralization signs.
