The great Qinzhou-Hangzhou polymetallic belt is located between the southeast margin of the Yangtze block and the South China fold system. The antimony deposits found in this belt account for about 87% of the total antimony reserves in China. As for its geological background, during the evolution of the southern Yangtze block and the periods of ancient continental basement sedimentary basins, the antimony-rich geochemical field was formed.Lead isotopic composition of antimony deposits in the metallogenic belt is very similar to that in the Jiangnan ancient land basement and sedimentary pyrite in the basins of varied periods.Evidence from abundance of the element Sb in ore-rock and lead isotopic composition of antimony deposits suggests that the sources of Sb element in the metallogenic belt are the ore-bearing country rocks of the basement and the cover.
