In this paper, the stability of the artificial hill slope is calculated with numerical analysis method. The results show that foundation soil and groundwater have greater impact on the artificial slope stability. The total settlement amount of the numerical results is consistent with that from the layer-wise summation method. The stability coefficient of the slope is 1.28 and is calculated with FEM strength reduction method. This value is close to the result of the limit equilibrium method. The results are reliable, which can be used as the basis for engineering design and construction.
