The layout of profile and the first epoch GPS survey in Pamirs Plateau were introduced, the data processing by the software GAMIT/GLOBK was described in detail. The GPS observational data in the study area were processed and the results were calculated under the reference frame ITRF08. The quasi-observation calculated by GAMIT met the precision criteria, all the normalized RMS of day solution were less than 0.2 mm, the single RMS residuals of the best sites were 3-5 mm, and the residuals of the worst sites were 7-9 mm, so that the above was coincidence with the expected results calculated by GAMIT. The global solution combined with day solutions together was calculated by GLOBK under the reference frame ITRF08, and the processed results including error were analyzed and studied in order to get the exact coordinates of the GPS sites. The results showed that the horizontal components of coordinate precision for all the sites were 1-2 mm, and the vertical components were 3-7 mm, so the designed requirement of GPS survey in Pamir Plateau was acceptable. It is of great significance for the kinematic characteristic of Pamirs Plateau and uplift mechanism of Tibet Plateau.
