///Based on the field work and previous achievements, identification and analysis of the sheet rock in the Lower Devonian section in Xiejiawan, Yongli village, Beichuan country, the Xiejiawan section, as a type section, was restudied in detail in Lithostratigraphic subdivision, biostratigraphic subdivision, sequence stratigraphy subdivision and chronostratigraphic subdivision. It is suggested that: 1) it is more reasonable that the Xiejiawan section belongs to the Xiejiawan subdivision, Ganxi Formation; 2) through the study on the fossils, two biologiczones are provided in this section, Euryspirifer range zone and Otospirifer abundance zone; 3) the section has the characters of the typicalⅡsequence stratigraphy. It is composed by the shelf-edge system tract, marine invasion system tract,early upland system tract and late upland system tract; and 4) the section may be the mid-up part of the lower Emsian, and may be correlated with the stratigraphy in Guangxi and Guizhou Province.
