Determination of Trace Cu, Mn, Zn, Al, Fe and Si in Magnesium Alloy by ICP-AES

Trace elements of Cu, Mn, Zn, Al, Fn and Si in magnesium alloy were determined by ICP-AES.  The experiment of base-match was simulated and Mg interface was eliminated.  The trace Si in the solution can be determined accurately after treated by saturated boric acid solution for F ion.  The detection value of the national standard substance ZM3 was agreed to the reference.  The detection limits of the method were in the range of 0.003 μg/g0.053 μg/g with RSDs less than 4% and the recovery of the method ranged from 97.0%104%.
