The metallogenetic mother rock of Ti placer formed by weathering crust in Kunming area is the Variscan gabbro in traditional opinion. According to the 1：10000 geological survey and development data, many Precambrian rock bodies have been discovered. The geological characteristics of Ti placer in Kunming area are studied and summarized. And the prospective reserves in the whole area are calculated in this paper.
