The Strength Reduction Method Based on ADINA, ANSYS and FLAC
Taking a certain complex slope for an example, through ANSYS-ADINA and ANSYS-FLAC interface program, a mesh model of ADINA, ANSYS and FLAC is established to overcome the grid coefficient on the safety factor. M-C and D-P criteria are respectively selected in the calculation. The following conclusions have been drawn: relative to the D-P criteria, the safety factor is smaller using the M-C criteria; for a series of D-P criteria, the safety factors by the exterior angle point circle D-P and inscribed circle D-P corresponds to the upper and lower limits; for the same kinds of yield criteria, the safety factor is slightly larger with the finite difference method than that with the finite element method.
