Characteristics of Fluid Inclusions and Hydrocarbon Accumulation Mechanism of Marine Sandstone Reservoir: Taking Silurian Asphalt Sandstone in Central Tarim Basin as an Example
详细信息
摘要

Homogenization temperature of fluid inclusions is used in combination with burial history modeling to reveal how and when these structures received their hydrocarbon charges. There are three accumulation phases of petroleum reservoirs in the Silurian asphalt sandstone of central Tarim Basin. The first period occurred from the Late Silurian to Devonian. The second stage was in Triassic when high carbon alkanes were dominant in charging oil. The third stage was Himalayan period when the filling oil was characterized by low molecular weight alkanes, such as light oil. High mature cracking oil accumulated in the reservoir underneath the red mudstone through the fault.
