Preparation and Characterization of Sn-Ni-Coated Calcium-Magnesium Silicate Whisker
A new type of Sn-Ni-coated calcium-magnesium silicate whisker was prepared by using calcium-magnesium silicate whisker as the raw material. The material was characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy distribute spectrum (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). The experiment results showed that the metalized treatment of Sn-Ni-coated calcium-magnesium silicate whisker was silicate mineral whisker with spinal crystal structure and did not lead to the change of whisker surface structure except the aggregation of the minority.
