The melt experiments using the Continental Alkali Basalt + 6wt.% deionized water were conducted at 1.5~5 GPa and 1 100~1 200 ℃. The Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy was used to analyze the water content of clinopyroxene. The value varied from 1 173(153)×10-6~2 049(197)×10-6. The results indicated that the water content of clinopyroxene increased with pressure below 3.0 GPa, while it decreased with pressure above 3.0 GPa. The relationship between the water content and the pressure was probably influenced by Al concentration of clinopyroxene. This study provided some evidences to understand the water distribution at different depth in the upper mantle.
