The “5·12” Earthquake-After Regional Hazard Assessment of Geological Disasters——A Case Study in Qingchuan and Pingwu County
详细信息
摘要
A large number of landslides, collapse, mudslides and other geological disasters were induced in the “5·12” earthquake affected zone in Sichuan Province, which cause people’s lives and property  heavy losses. After the earthquake, there is a long period of aftershocks, combined with a large rainfall,so geological disasters will further deteriorate. As ground survey method it is difficult to meet the requirements. Combined results of multiple source of remote sensing data interpretation, and determining the geological hazard assessment index system and distribution analysis and geological hazards assessment on Qingchuan and Pingwu County by mathematical method and GIS technology, it is possible to improve the timeliness of data processing. The research on disaster risk assessments and post-disaster reconstruction, especially in mountain valleys areas possesses the reference for disaster prevention and mitigation.
