Fengshan copper (Au) deposit is one of important copper-gold mining field in iron-copper polymetallic area of Southeastern Hubei Province. In recent years, combining a variety of prospecting methods such as scientific exploration projects and mining exploration of national crisis-funded projects, a comprehensive study of metallogenic prediction deep side and its surrounding regions of Fengshan copper (Au) deposit has made some new advances. A new metallogenic model was set up and some favorable prospecting target with considerable copper-gold industrial orebody has been disclosed by verification engineering. The results showed that the deep side and its surrounding regions of the large and medium-sized old mines are still the most promising, most economical for ore prospecting.
