Distribution Rule and Main Controlling Factors of the Carbonate Rock Reservoirs in the Middle and Upper Yangtze Region

Based on the theory of tectonic-sequence stratigraphy and dynamic evolutionary, the regularity of development and distribution of Sinian-Middle Triassic reservoirs in middle and upper Yangtze region was thoroughly analyzed. It was revealed that the carbonate reservoir was correlated well to the sequence stratigraphic framework in the vertical direction, corresponding to the global highstand system tract in the second order sea-level change cycle. Comprehensive analysis concluded that the development and distribution of carbonate reservoir were controlled by sequence stratigraphic framework, that is to say, the high-quality regional reservoirs were highly consistent with the highstand of the second-order eustatic cycle, and the third-order sea-level marine ingression was also the favorable position of local reservoirs.
