Through the use of oil reservoir research and seismic interpretation results, the development and activity characteristics of faults and the effect of faults on oil migration and accumulation were studied in Beier Depression. Sedimentary period of K1n2, K1y 2+3 and K2q are main active periods of faults. Later reversed faults are source faults connecting Nantun Formation source rock and traps in different reservoirs. Different types of source faults play the different roles during oil migration and accumulation in different regions and strata. Source faults from T5 to T1 are the transporting pathways that the oil, generated from Nantun Formation source rocks in Beixi subsag, laterally migrates into the buried hill bedrock in Sudeerte and Huoduomoer regions.
