Member 1 of the Lower Cretaceous Quantou Formation is the principal section of the Shuangtuozi gas field located in the Songliao Basin. There develop the meandering river deposition system and braided river deposition system. By using the petrofacies and electrofacies switching technology, the authors divide and compare the sedimentary microfacies of Member 1 of Quantou Formation in the study area, and therefore further recognize the sedimentary microfacies, study the planar distribution characteristics of the sedimentary microfacies. The marginal bank sandbody is the most beneficial reservoir belt in the meandering river deposition system of the study area, and the batture sandbody is that in the braided river depositional system of the study area.
