SLG is an important low permeability gas field in China. In this paper, the practicability of seismic prediction techniques in SLG area was analyzed. Based on the research of He 8 sandstone reservoir in SLG area, we considered that techniques of seismic rock physical analysis, AVO forward modeling, prestack seismic inversion, effective absorption coefficient and prestack and poststack seismic property integrated description are key seismic prediction techniques to SLG area. These techniques show good effects on SLG area in practical applications.
