This paper focuses on presentation of the characteristics of the Upper Yangtze evaporites, and states that there is more than 200 oft-com:office:smarttags" />000 km² evaporite basins in the Upper Yangtze area, and delineates two most favorable areas for potash (sub-basin of gypsum-halite ), i.e. the Jiangjin-Luzhou and Jiannan -Pengshui areas.
