///The marine facies area in the western of Sichuan Province was located on the western margin of the upper section of Yangtze Platform in Paleozoic Era, which was the transitional zone of platform-trough environment. It underwent the basement-forming phase, platform and its marginal basin evolution phase, and foreland basin evolution phase. The evolution of trough basin or platform basin controlled the evolution of depression basin and formed multi-suite source rocks. The late period of the Indosinian movement changed the tectonic situation of the craton and its marginal basin evolution of the western Yangtze Platform before Late Triassic, and adjusted the marine petroliferous system before the late Indosinian movement. The Yanshan-Himalayan multi-epoch tectonic movements resulted in the strong compress and uplift of the Longmenshan orogen, and destroyed the marine petroliferous system.
