摘要
There are Jiuquan Basin, Qaidam Basin and Tarim Basin in the south-north sides of Altun fault belt. This paper proposes the stress-strain theoretical model of “active wall plus passive wall” and presents a rational interpretation for such structural differences between the north and south sides. It is considered that the geological body of the southern side of Altun fault belt is directly affected by the India-Eurasia Plate, being regarded as the active wall, while that of the north side is affected by NW component of remote stress, being as the passive wall.
