As a most important mineral of hydrothermal deposit, quartz varied systematically in internal structure and composition at different mineralization stages. FTIR diffused reflection is sensitive to the systematic variations. In this study, 41 pieces of quartz powder from 1 070 m level are used for FTIR measurement and the spectral parameters for mineralization mapping are exploited. It is indicate that the absorption intensity of 800 cm-1 and 780 cm-1, and the locations of symmetric stretching vibration, are positively correlated to the tectonic stress, which is also reflected in the mineralization mapping.
