Radioactivity Equilibrium Impact of Radium-Radon in In-Situ Leachable Sandstone Type Uranium Deposits on Interpretation Gamma Ray Logging

The appearance of piezo-radon in boreholes may result in provisional un-equilibrium between radium-radon contents of uranium deposit during drilling.The changes in the equilibrium coefficients of radium-radon radioactivity often produce lower values of interpretation results from gamma logging,which would impact on the uranium resources evaluation.When exploration of in-situ leachable sandstone type uranium deposits,a certain amount of boreholes for geophysical coefficients is required to be included and assessment of the radium-radon radioactivity equilibrium should be commenced in time.If the radium-radon radioactivity equilibrium coefficient was over 0.3,revision would be made to the interpretation result from the gamma logging.
