A debris flow occurs in Yeniu Ravine of Kangding on July 7, 2005, made great losses. Jintang River has been blocked which is a branch of Dadu River. There are three major features of the Yeniu Ravine debris flow. Firstly, it is a low frequency and high viscous debris flow with a 50 year round. Secondly, it has very quick speed. Thirdly, the discharge has a suddenly increase along the process of the debris flow. The peak flow of Jisuozi Ravine and Zhichang Ravine, and the unstable sources in circulation area enter into Yeniu Ravine in a small region, that made the discharge a suddenly increase in the last part of circulation area.
