Derivative Statistics Method Application in Airborne Electromagnetic Data Leveling

 As airborne electromagnetic data always contains strips error from measurement,we often choose window-based filter to eliminate them.But the window size and filtering parameters correlate with the error and local geology anomalies,which it is difficult to separate by the operators.This paper presents a derivative statistics method for the problem.Firstly we conduct derivative along pseudo tie-line(vertical flight direction) of the grid airborne electromagnetic data and use high-pass filter to obtain large value,and then count the number of them.Comparing the number and the threshold,we obtain the lines that contain strips error.Then,we apply average filter to remove the error.This method has the advantages in picking up the strips lines automatically,and eliminating strips error effectively,and preserving real geology anomalies.The algorithm of the method is simple and high speed in calculation.It provides a new algorithm to airborne electromagnetic data leveling.
