摘要
The period of biogas generation plays a very important role in its accumulation. Now there is not a credible and effective method to appraise it. The generation of biogas is a mass balance process proceeding among organic elements regardless of the generation mechanism of biogas. Results show that the biogas was generated probably at the depth shallower than 800 meters. The biogas quantity generated from the source rock in this area is about 285. 0×1012 cubic meters. The main period of biogas generation occurs before the end of the deposition of the Nenjiang formation.
