Zircon U-Pb Geochronology of the Taohuacun Porphyry, Middle Part of the Jinshajiang-Ailaoshan Shear Zone, and Its Geological Significance
摘要
The Taohuacun porphyry is located at the middle part of the Jinshajiang-Ailaoshan alkaline-rich porphyry belt.In this paper, the Jianchuanbei porphyry is studied by means of petrography,U-Pb geochronology and rare earth element(REE) of zircons.Petrography study reveals that there are clinopyroxene in thin section, suggesting some special petrogenetic information. The zircon U-Pb geochronology indicates that the age of the Taohuacun porphyry is 35.9 Ma±0.5 Ma(MSWD=2.2,n=14),agree with the age of Cenozoic alkaline-rich porphyry in Jianchuan-Beiya area, and synchronous with most of the porphyry within the Jinshajiang-Ailaoshan alkaline-rich porphyry belt as well.Together with other geological evidence,it is believed that the petrogenesis of the Taohuacun porphyry was closely related to the strike-slip movements caused by Indo-Euroasia collision, and may have significant contributions from the mantle.
