Analysis of Bad Environmental Effects of Clogging of the Discharging Underground River of the Qilu Lake, Yunnan Province

Qilu karst basin is a closed catchment-flow and faulted lacustrine basin. After inflooding the Qilu Lake in the flow area, surface water and groundwater concentrating in the basin replenish the Gaozhai underground river system from the Yuejiaying sinkhole. Through a karst conduit the water flows to the eastern Huaning Basin and drains as an underground river. For solving the contradiction between the inundation and sluice, with the construction of regulative tunnel, the underground water level along the tunnel is descending because of the karst leakage. The rural waterhead in mountain areas are drained, which has induce land-subsidence and a lot of new environmental geological problems.
