///Guang-Cong fault is a significant basement fault trending NE and there exist much debates on the Late Quaternary activity of its buried part in the Pearl River Delta. Recently, geological and geomorphologic survey, trench profiles, Quaternary dating, shallow artificial seismic prospecting and other measures have been used in order to disclose the nature of the Late Quaternary at Xilin Hill, Foshan City, eastside of Guang-Cong fault. The geometry characteristics of Xilin Hill fault and its relation to the bedrock were surveyed and analyzed; the origin of the fault was also discussed.
