Alford Rotation-Based Anisotropic Correction for the Converted Waves

In order to improve the imaging quality of radial component, azimuthal anisotropic correction for shear wave splitting should be performed during the processing of the converted waves. After creating a component pair with the radial and lateral components perpendicular to each other, the Alford Rotation Method is used to split the converted waves into a rapid and a slow shear wave, and to perform azimuthal anisotropic correction for shear wave splitting. With this method adopted to process the converted wave data in medium-to-deep or deep layers in the western Sichuan Basin, the imaging quality of the radial component of the converted waves has been significantly improved.
