摘要

It is twenty years since the last general book on tin was published. In those days tin-mining in Bolivia was in its early stages Nigeria and South Africa, now important sources of supply, had not entered the list of tinroducing countries some of the Australian tinfields, then of great economic importance, have since been abandoned due to the exhaustion of the shallow stanniferous alluvial and eluvial deposits and certain important modern methods of working secondary stanniferous deposits were then unknown.
