摘要
This book is an outgrowth of work begun at Stanford in 1954, when dynamic computer-simulation models of shallow-water marine-sedimentation processes began to be developed. In August 1965 Graeme Bonham-Carter came to Stanford as a postdoctoral scholar to join in the work, which at that time began fro receive-financial support from the Geography Branch of the Office of Naval Research and encouragement from the head of the Geography Branch, Miss Evelyn Pruitt.
