摘要

The investigations which now we regard as engineering-geological started to be held long before the appearing of this term. We can hardly dats even approximately the time when wb began to study gelolgical problems dealing with construction without this it would be impossible to erect defferent kinds of buildings in the ancient times, many of which had lasted well till modern tine and excite humanimagination.
