摘要
Reflections of seismic energy occur at rock boundaries where elastic impedance changes, and this reflected energy is detected by geophones placed on or near the earth’s surface. Resulting seismic sections are composed of tmfxused energy, and the associated events are difkult to interpret in complex geological areas, such as the Overthrust Belt. No matter where
in the subsurface the reflection actually occurs, each event on a stacked record section is plotted directly beneath the sours-receiver midpoint
