摘要

In the years before the Great War metallic magnesium had very few commercial applications. The relatively small amount manu-
    factured was used principally in pyrotechnics and for flashlight photography, and to a less extent as a deoxidizer in nickel refining and as a constituent of light alloys such as duralumin and mag-nalium.
