摘要

The birth and growth of a new and still erupting cinder cone in the Mexican volcanic belt, 300 miles west of Mexico City, has afforded geologists an unequalled opportunity to record the development of a volcano of this type. It first attracted attention when incandescent rocks were thrown from a small depression in a cornfield, on February 20th, 1943.
