The phosphors Ca5Y3Na2(PO4)5 (SiO4)F2:xEu (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.1) are synthesized by solid state reaction of stoichiometric mixtures of CaCO3, Y2O3, Eu2O3, NaF, NH4H2PO4, and H2SiO3 (600 °C in air for 4 h, 1100 °C for 4 h in 95% N2/5% H2 atmosphere).
